2018 WLA Conference: Program Proposal Form
Thank you for your interest in presenting a program at the 2018 Washington Library Association Annual Conference. We are currently accepting proposals for this year's conference, October 17-20 at the Yakima Convention Center.

CULTIVATING COMMUNITIES, HARVESTING IDEAS is this year's conference theme. Programs relevant to libraries of any kind are sought, from 75-minute sessions to 3- to 4-hour workshops. Presenters are encouraged to seek advance approval from their employers for time away from work to present. If specific scheduling is desired, please specify in the relevant field below.

Proposals are due no later than April 16.  
Applicants will be notified of their proposal status by May 8.

Outcomes and Audience Engagement
Briefly describe what participants will be able to do as a result of attending this program. Who would most benefit from attending, and what components are included to engage and involve the participants? This information is used to help better understand your proposal.
Length + Room and A/V Set-Up
Sessions are 75 minutes in length. Unless otherwise requested, room set-up is theater style with an LCD projector, screen, and wifi access.

Workshops are 3 or 4 hours in length and may be scheduled as a preconference or as a workshop during the conference. Unless otherwise requested, room set-up is classroom style with an LCD projector, screen, and wifi access.

Please note that regarding conference attendance, registration fees are typically waived only for Presenters who will be attending solely to present their own program and will NOT be attending any other portion of the conference.
